The Washington Post changed a headline on the death of Islamic State terrorist leader Al-Baghdadi obituary to be less offensive.
The original headline that The Post had was “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Islamic State’s ‘terrorist in chief’ dies at 48,” which is accurate.
But then, this man responsible for the murders of scores of people, including many Muslims, was named a “religious scholar.”
The new headline from The Post read “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State dies at 48.”
It changed it yet a third time, after outrage from many, to “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, extremist leader of Islamic State, dies at 48.”
Apparently the word “terrorist” was too strong of a world for a man who indiscriminately murdered anyone is his path.
The anger and outrage came swift and quick for The Post for their ridiculous changing of the story’s headline.
“They had it right the first time. The Washington Post changed the headline on its Al-Baghdadi obituary from ‘Islamic State’s terrorist-in-Chief’ to ‘austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State,” Huffington post reporter Yashar Ali said.
